Tim Dukes is a Republican state representative for District 40 in the Delaware House of Representatives, which includes the municipalities of Laurel, Delmar, and Bethel. Born on September 30, 1964, in Seaford, Delaware, he serves as House Minority Leader, a position he assumed on November 12, 2024, at the start of the 153rd General Assembly. Previously, he was House Minority Whip during the 150th and 151st General Assemblies. Dukes is the pastor of Central Worship Center, has led over 80 missions trips, and is involved in community roles such as board member for Epworth Christian School and Delmarva Christian High School, as well as coaching Little League. He resides in Laurel with his wife, Dottie; they have four grown children and seven grandchildren.

Education and Political Experience

• Education: Earned a BS from the University of Valley Forge.
• Political Experience: First elected to the Delaware House in 2012 following the retirement of Republican Clifford Lee; has served continuously since. Current committee assignments include Administration, Rules, Ethics, Veterans Affairs, and Legislative Council.
