Biography

Tim Briggs is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 149th District in Montgomery County since 2009. The district includes Upper Merion Township, Bridgeport and West Conshohocken Boroughs, and parts of Lower Merion Township, encompassing communities like King of Prussia, Gulph Mills, Villanova, and Bryn Mawr. Born January 3, 1970, he is a lawyer and native of Montgomery County, residing in King of Prussia with his wife, Robyn, and their four children.

Notable achievements include serving as Democratic chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, and chairing or co-chairing caucuses on Arts & Culture, Bio Technology/Life Sciences, and Brain Injury. He authored legislation on student athlete concussions, gender equity in school sports, suicide awareness training for educators, anti-bullying policies, child firearm access prevention, campaign finance transparency, and the "Zero Waste PA" recycling initiative. His priorities also cover education, children, environment , and he serves on the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education board of governors and as vice chairman of the Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board.
