Biography
Thomas E. Brinkman, Jr. is a Republican politician from Ohio who represented Cincinnati in the Ohio House of Representatives from 2001 to 2008 and again from 2015 to 2022, primarily in the 27th District. He is married to Cathy and has six children. Known for his staunch opposition to higher taxes and public spending, he founded the Coalition Opposed to Additional Spending and Taxes in 1999 to actively oppose tax levies and bond issues in southwestern Ohio. In 2014, he defeated incumbent Peter Stautberg in the Republican primary and won the general election with 67.78% of the vote. He ran for Hamilton County Auditor in 2022.
