Biography

Senator Thomas Chittenden ** represents the **Chittenden-Southeast District in the Vermont State Senate . A lifelong Vermonter born on October 8, 1977, in South Burlington, he descends from a nine-generation Vermont family lineage tracing back to Bethuel Chittenden, brother of Vermont's first governor, Thomas Chittenden. He lives in the historic Chittenden family home in South Burlington, is married to Kimberly Chittenden , and is the father of three children attending public school. Notable community involvement includes serving as a former volunteer firefighter in Williston and as a South Burlington Rotarian.

Education and Political Experience

  • Education: Holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Vermont; graduated from South Burlington High School . Recognized as the 2019 UVM Grossman School of Business Faculty Member of the Year and recipient of the 2017 UVM President’s Distinguished Lecturer Award.
