Biography
Thomas C. Baker is an American politician from Alaska. A lifelong Alaskan and resident of Kotzebue, he represented District 40 in the Alaska House of Representatives as a Republican from November 2023 to January 2025. He was appointed to the seat by Governor Mike Dunleavy. Baker previously served on the Kotzebue City Council and the Native Village of Kotzebue Tribal Council, and chairs the Regional Advisory Council for the Federal Subsistence Board. His professional role includes construction operations manager with the Kikiktagruk Inupiat Corporation. Notable legislative efforts include sponsoring bills on police officer training and establishing the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons Review Commission.
