Biography

Terry C. Landry Jr. is a Democratic member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, representing District 67 in East Baton Rouge Parish, which includes central Baton Rouge. He won a special election in May 2025 with 52% of the vote to succeed Larry Selders and took office on May 19, 2025; he is eligible to serve through the 2032 term. An attorney by occupation, Landry comes from a family legacy of public service—his father, Terry Landry Sr., was the first Black superintendent of the Louisiana State Police and a former state legislator, while his mother, Sharon Broussard Landry, advocated for youth.
