Biography
Terry G. Kilgore is the Delegate representing Virginia's 45th House District, which includes counties of Dickenson , Lee, Scott, and Wise, as well as the City of Norton. Born in 1961 in Kingsport, Tennessee, he has served in the Virginia House of Delegates since 1994 and currently holds the position of Minority Leader . Notable achievements include long-term service as Majority Leader previously, Vice Chair of the House Commerce and Energy Committee, longest-serving member on the House Courts of Justice Committee, and roles on the House Rules Committee. He also chairs the Tobacco Indemnification and Community Revitalization Commission and the Southwest Virginia Health Authority, and serves as Rector of the Appalachian School of Law in Grundy. Kilgore practices law in Gate City, Virginia, where he resides with his wife, Debbie Sue Wright, and has two children, Kayla and Kyle.
