Biography
Tennille R. McCoy is a Democratic Assemblywoman representing New Jersey's 14th Legislative District, which includes parts of Mercer and Middlesex counties . She made history as the first person of color elected to represent this district and has served in the General Assembly since 2024. Currently, she holds the position of Deputy Conference Leader and serves on the Assembly Appropriations, State and Local Government, and Telecommunications and Utilities Committees. She is also Chair of the Assembly Committee on Community Development and Women's Affairs. Notable achievements include her extensive leadership in workforce development, talent acquisition, and community service through organizations like Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Dress for Success, and the Samuel McCoy III Scholarship Fund, as well as prior role as Hamilton Township District Committeewoman.
