Edward "Teddy" Waszazak is a Democrat representing Washington-3 in the Vermont House of Representatives since 2025. Born on the North Shore of Boston and raised in greater Boston, he moved to Barre, Vermont, in 2017. In 2019, he was elected as the youngest person to serve on the Barre City Council . His 2024 election made him the youngest person to represent Barre City in the State House. He serves on the House Committee on Ways and Means, works in communications at Hunger Free Vermont, and is on the Aldrich Library Board of Trustees. Notable achievements include serving as VT State Director for Senator Elizabeth Warren’s 2020 presidential campaign and aiding Congressman Chris Pappas’ 2022 reelection in New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District. On the City Council, he led advocacy for a Police Advisory Committee and body camera implementation.
