Biography
Tara J. Peters is a Republican member of the Missouri House of Representatives, representing District 122 . Elected to her first term in November 2022, she serves as a real estate agent with Realty Executives – Ferrell Associates and co-owns Pete’s Pumpkin Patch at LedgeLand Acres Farm with her husband, Chris, an agri-tourism destination popular with families and school groups. Born in Valparaiso, Indiana, she resides in Rolla, Missouri, with her husband and two teenage sons, Landon and Ledger. Peters is known for her volunteer work supporting families, children, and seniors, including leadership as President of the Rolla Junior Club , board service with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, the M.U. Extension Council for Phelps County, and the Missouri Farm Bureau Agri-Tourism Board, as well as advocacy with CASA for foster children.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Purdue University – Calumet.
- Political Experience: First elected to the Missouri House in 2022 as a Republican representing District 122; active in community leadership roles promoting family well-being and education transparency.
