Biography
Tara Nethercott is a Republican Wyoming State Senator representing District 4 in Laramie County. Elected in 2016, she serves as Majority Floor Leader and chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee. She also serves on committees including Capital Finance and Investments, Wyoming Retirement System Board, and the Select Committee on Blockchain, Financial Technology, and Digital Innovation. A Wyoming native and attorney specializing in employment law, probate, estate administration, higher education, and commercial litigation, she has been recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America®: Ones to Watch for Land Use and Zoning Law annually since 2021. She is active in the Cheyenne community, having served on the Board of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce and as a member of Leadership Wyoming in 2017.
