Tanya C. Vyhovsky is an American politician and licensed independent clinical social worker representing the Chittenden-Central district in the Vermont Senate as a member of the Democratic/Progressive . She has served in the Senate since January 2023, after representing Chittenden-8-1 in the Vermont House of Representatives from 2021 to 2023. Notable achievements include developing and directing the Vermont Support Line , serving as vice president of the Vermont National Association of Social Workers , founding Essex Area Mutual Aid during the pandemic, and current roles as Vice Chair of the Senate Government Operations Committee and Clerk of the Senate Committee on Judiciary. She advocates for expanding Medicaid access, lowering prescription drug prices, community safety investments, democracy protections, sustainable public education funding, and ending victim blaming in sexual assault cases.
