Biography
Tanya Patrice Flanagan is a Democratic member of the Nevada State Assembly representing District 7 in Clark County, which covers parts of North Las Vegas north of the airport and west of Nellis Air Force Base. She assumed office on November 6, 2024, with her term ending November 4, 2026, after winning over 80% in the Democratic primary and an uncontested general election. Born in 1970 in McNary, Arizona, Flanagan is a breast cancer survivor with three diagnoses, undergoing about 20 surgeries, which has driven her advocacy for women's health, healthcare affordability, and access. Notable achievements include leadership as chair of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. TTO Our Seniors Committee, interim executive director of Susan G.
