Biography
Tammy Townley is a Republican representative serving Oklahoma House District 48 since November 2018, covering parts of Carter, Garvin, and Murray counties, including cities like Ardmore, Davis, Elmore City, Pauls Valley, and Healdton. She was re-elected by default in 2020 and chairs the Tourism committee while serving on committees for A&B Natural Resources, Commerce and Economic Development Oversight, Conference Committee on Commerce and Economic Development Oversight, and Postsecondary Education. Notable aspects include her prior role as Deputy County Clerk in Carter County, supervising 13 counties and 108 trainees for a nonprofit aiding senior citizen jobs, 13 years on the Governor's Workforce Council addressing workforce needs, and co-owning The Living Word Bible bookstore in Ardmore for over 22 years; she has one daughter, Victoria.
