Biography
Tammy Story is a Democratic member of the Colorado House of Representatives, representing District 25 in Jefferson County, which includes areas like Evergreen and Conifer. She assumed office on January 9, 2023, after defeating incumbent Colin Larson in the 2022 election following redistricting, and was re-elected in 2024. Previously, she served as a Colorado State Senator for District 16 from 2019 to 2023, winning election in 2018 with 55% of the vote. A longtime community advocate, Story moved to Colorado in 1987 with her husband Mike, raised two children in Conifer, and has focused on public education, leading efforts like the 2015 Jeffco Schools recall campaign. Her top issues include public education, pipeline safety, conservation, wildfire mitigation, forest health, and environmental policy. She currently chairs the Capital Development Committee and serves on the House Agriculture, Water & Natural Resources Committee and House Education Committee.

- Education: B.S. in Communicative Disorders from East Tennessee State University. Post-graduation, she worked as a speech pathologist and later as a cabinet-maker.
