Biography

Senator Tammy Brankley Mulchi

Tammy Brankley Mulchi is a Republican state senator from Virginia representing Senate District 9. Born in South Hill, Virginia on July 18, 1966, she has deep roots in her community and has worked as both a realtor and residential contractor. She is married to Randy Mulchi and is a Baptist. Mulchi is also the founder and president of The Windsong Foundation and serves on the board of the Three Rivers Treatment Center.

Education

Mulchi attended Liberty University, where she completed her education before pursuing her career in real estate and construction.

Political Experience

Mulchi was elected to the Virginia Senate in a special election in January 2024 following the 2023 Virginia Senate election. Her district encompasses all of Charlotte County, Halifax County, Lunenburg County, Mecklenburg County, Nottoway County, Pittsylvania County, and Danville City, as well as parts of Brunswick County and Prince Edward County. Since taking office in 2024, she has represented the interests of her constituents in the Virginia General Assembly.
