Jervonte "Tae" Edmonds is a Democratic representative for Florida House District 88 in Palm Beach County, residing in West Palm Beach. Born on June 11, 1991, in Titusville, Florida, he serves as CEO and Founder of a nonprofit and is a children's book author with titles including Everything Will Be Fine , To the Moon and Back , and Adventures of the Rich and Famous .

He was elected in a special election on March 8, 2022, and reelected subsequently. Notable achievements include nominations for Nonprofit of the Year from Black Chamber of Commerce PBC and Nonprofits First , Leadership Excellence Nominee from Leadership Palm Beach County , and Keeper of the Torch Award from West Palm Beach Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta .

Edmonds holds positions on the Select Committee on Property Taxes, Executive Board of Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County, South Florida Fair Board, and previously the City of Delray Beach Education Board. He co-sponsored HB 49 for preserving historic African American cemeteries and HB 783 to enhance opioid overdose prevention efforts.
