Biography

Tackey Chan is a Democratic state representative for Massachusetts' 2nd Norfolk District, which includes portions of Quincy, Massachusetts. A lifelong resident of Quincy born on August 10, 1973, he was first elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives in 2010 and is currently serving his eighth term. He made history as one of the first three Asian American state representatives in Massachusetts and the first Asian American and minority elected to office in Quincy. Notable achievements include serving as House Chair of the Joint Committee on Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure, being the first Asian American to chair a House committee, and appointments to the Massachusetts Asian American Commission .
