Biography
Sydney Kamlager-Dove is a Democrat representing California's 37th Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives since 2023. The district covers a diverse area within Los Angeles County. She serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee as Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on South and Central Asia and on the House Committee on the Judiciary. Notable positions include Whip of the Congressional Black Caucus, Co-Chair of the Congressional Brazil Caucus, and Policy Co-Chair of the Democratic Women’s Caucus. Key achievements include passing the GRATEFUL Act to aid immigration for locally-employed U.S. embassy staff from developing countries.
