Biography
Suzy Glowiak Hilton is a Democratic State Senator representing the 23rd District in the Illinois State Senate, based in Western Springs. A mechanical engineer by profession, she has served since 2019, emphasizing bipartisan collaboration to address property taxes, education funding, and child safety. She works as an engineering consultant specializing in conflict resolution, report writing, and expert testimony. Glowiak Hilton has resided in Western Springs for over 25 years, where she raised three children with her late husband Steve, to whom she was married for 35 years. Notable achievements include sponsoring legislation to ban unreliable at-home sexual assault evidence kits and expanding sexual assault services vouchers to cover transportation. She currently chairs the Senate Licensed Activities Committee and serves on the Commerce, Consumer Protection, Insurance, and Transportation Committees.
