Biography
Susan Tyler Witten is a Republican member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, representing District 31 in eastern Jefferson County, including areas like Douglass Hills, J-Town, and Plainview. A lifelong resident of the district, she moved to Douglass Hills with her family in 1971 and now lives in J-Town with her husband Dwight and their rescue German Shepherd, Lemmy. She works as a Regional Lighting and Energy Specialist for Consolidated Electrical Distributors and is a Christian. Witten won her seat in the 2022 election, defeating Democrat Sue Foster with 52% of the vote after a strong Republican primary performance; she assumed office on January 1, 2023, and was unopposed in the 2024 primary.
