Biography

Sue Glick is a Republican state senator representing District 13 in the Indiana State Senate, which includes all of LaGrange, Noble, and Steuben counties, and the western third of DeKalb County. First elected in 2010, she currently serves as Assistant President Pro Tempore and chairs the Senate Committee on Natural Resources, while ranking as a member on the Senate Committee on Agriculture. She also serves on the Senate Committees on Corrections and Criminal Law, Judiciary, Rules, and Legislative Procedure. Notable achievements include multiple Distinguished Public Service Awards from the Indiana American Legion , the Sagamore of the Wabash award in 1974, the Champion of Justice Award from the Indiana Judges Association in 2023, and recognition from Indiana Water for wetland conservation efforts. Previously, she served as LaGrange County Prosecuting Attorney and legal counsel for the towns of Shipshewana and Topeka, as well as the LaGrange County Park Board. She resides in LaGrange, is a member of the United Methodist Church, and is involved in community roles such as president of the LaGrange County Corn School Committee and past chair of the LaGrange County Republican Party.

  • Political Experience: Precinct committeeperson since 1980; president of LaGrange County Election Board ; Indiana State Senate , rising to Assistant President Pro Tempore; early involvement in public service, including as a campaign worker for Governor Otis R. Bowen in 1972 and Honorary Speaker of the Indiana House of Representatives that year.
