Biography
Steven D. Smith is a Republican member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Sullivan District 3 . First elected in 2010 for Sullivan County District 5, he continued serving after redistricting to District 11 and then District 3 in 2022. He advocates for low taxes, fiscally responsible government, and common-sense solutions. Notable positions include Deputy Speaker of the NH House, Chairman of the House Transportation Committee for four years, chair of the Autonomous Vehicle Advisory Commission, and Governor's appointee to the Interagency Council on Homelessness. An Eagle Scout and father of nine children, he owns a small hobby business racing and selling slot cars, and moved to New Hampshire over 30 years ago.
