Biography
Steven Douglas Doan is a Republican attorney and politician serving as the representative for Kentucky House District 69, which includes parts of Boone and Kenton counties. A lifelong resident of Erlanger, Kentucky, he lives there with his wife and two children. Doan operates a private law practice in Erlanger specializing in criminal, family, personal injury, and real estate law. His conservative priorities include supporting tax cuts, small businesses, public safety, and child welfare. Notable roles include serving as one of five managers in the 2026 impeachment trial of Judge Julie Goodman, and membership in the Northern Kentucky Caucus and Pro-Life Caucus.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Graduated from Lloyd Memorial High School; earned a Bachelor of Science in economics and business administration from Northern Kentucky University ; Juris Doctor from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University .
- Political Experience: Appointed general counsel for the Kentucky Office of Agricultural Policy under Governor Matt Bevin, overseeing grant and loan programs exceeding $80 million. Appointed to Erlanger City Council in 2021. Elected to Kentucky House in 2022 ; reelected in 2024 .
