Steve Wilson is a Republican state senator representing Ohio Senate District 7, which covers Warren County and portions of Hamilton and Butler counties. He resides in Maineville with his wife, Jill; they have four children and six grandchildren, and are members of the Otterbein United Methodist Church. A former Naval Officer honorably discharged in 1975, Wilson built a career in banking as former CEO of LCNB Corp. and LCNB National Bank. He has been actively involved in community service, including serving as president of the Lebanon City School District Board of Education, board member for the Countryside YMCA, Ohio Historical Society, Otterbein Senior Life Community, Warren County Foundation, and Warren County Area Progress Council, as well as board of trustees for Miami University, vice chair of the Warren County Port Authority, past chair of the American Bankers Association, and former board member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. Notable achievements include being named Citizen of the Year by the Lebanon Chamber of Commerce, awards from the Ohio Chamber of Commerce and American Conservative Union for his voting record, and key legislation on financial literacy and capitalism requirements for high school students, combating fraud against seniors, and modernizing notary laws for virtual notarization. He currently chairs the Financial Institutions, Insurance and Technology Committee and vice chairs the Armed Services, Veterans Affairs and Public Safety Committee, with additional assignments on Medicaid, Public Utilities, and Ways and Means.
