Representative Steve Unger

Steve Unger is a Republican member of the Arkansas House of Representatives representing District 19 . He is a retired Navy Captain serving his second term, with notable military honors including the Legion of Merit and multiple service medals.

Steve Unger was born and raised in Springdale, Arkansas. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 32 years of active-duty service, reaching the rank of Captain, and served in roles including medic, surface warfare officer, and chaplain. He currently resides in Springdale with his wife, Lynette, and they attend Christ Community Church in Fayetteville. Unger is involved in community service through the Springdale Rotary Club, Military Officers Association of America, and American Legion. His interests include hunting and reading history.
