Biography

Steve Reick

Steve Reick is a Republican member of the Illinois House of Representatives representing the 63rd District, which includes McHenry County. He was born and raised in Kankakee and graduated from Herscher High School in 1971. In 1982, he and his wife Deb moved their family to Woodstock, where he established a law practice.

Education

Reick is the first person in his family to attend college. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois in 1975, followed by a Juris Doctor and Master's Degree in Accountancy and Taxation from the University of Georgia in 1980.

Political Experience

Reick has served in the Illinois House since January 2017. He initially built a career as a tax lawyer for over 40 years before transitioning to full-time legislative service. He describes himself as an "independent voice" for McHenry County and has run for multiple terms representing the district. His district office is located at 1072 Lake Avenue in Woodstock, Illinois.
