Biography
Steve Miller
Steven Miller was born in Wendell, Idaho, and is a lifelong resident of the state. His family has been in Idaho since 1888, and he was raised with the values of hard work, self-reliance, and self-responsibility. Miller is a rancher and farmer by profession, managing his family's organic farm and ranch operations that grow organic hay and grain. He is currently married to Cheryl Sandy and resides in Fairfield, Idaho.
Education
Miller earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Idaho.
Political Experience
Current Position: Republican member of the Idaho House of Representatives representing District 24, Seat B, a position he has held since December 1, 2022. His district encompasses rural portions of Twin Falls, Gooding, and Camas Counties.
Prior Legislative Service: Miller previously represented District 26, Seat A in the Idaho House of Representatives from 2012 to 2018, serving for eight years.
Committee Assignments: He currently serves as Vice Chairman on several key committees, including the Joint Finance & Appropriations Committee , Commerce & Human Resources Committee, and Transportation Committee.
Local Government Service: Before his state legislative career, Miller served on the Camas County Planning and Zoning Commission and worked as a Camas County Commissioner.
Electoral Success: Miller won both the 2024 Republican primary and general election in his district with substantial vote totals, demonstrating strong constituent support for his continued representation.
