Steve Meskers

Steve Meskers is a State Representative from Connecticut who has represented the 150th district in Greenwich since his election in November 2018. He was re-elected in November 2024. A longtime Greenwich resident for 25 years, Meskers lives with his wife Monica and their three children, all graduates of the Greenwich public school system.
Prior to his legislative career, Meskers enjoyed a 35-year career in corporate lending, bankruptcy, and international bond sales. His professional experience includes serving as an assistant attorney with Irving Trust, heading Banco Santander's division of emerging market sales and fixed income, serving as director of emerging markets with Crédit Agricole, and working as director of emerging market fixed income sales with Rencap Securities.
Education
Meskers holds a B.A. in Economics and Spanish and an MBA.
Political Experience
Meskers served 20 years on Greenwich's Representative Town Meeting before his election to the state House. In the Connecticut House of Representatives, he serves as House Chair of Commerce and is a member of the Energy and Technology, Finance, Revenue and Bonding, and Insurance and Real Estate Committees.
As a member of the Coastal Caucus, Meskers works to protect Long Island Sound in coordination with Connecticut's Blue Plan. His legislative priorities include gun safety and environmental protection legislation, as well as efforts to protect vulnerable residents from unscrupulous third-party electricity providers.
