Steve Livingston is a Republican politician serving as the Majority Leader of the Alabama State Senate, representing District 8 . A businessman from Scottsboro, Alabama, he owns The Fuel Center, Inc. , a distributor of Chevron gasoline and lubricants, since 1981. He is a father of four children and grandfather of seven, married to Sandra, and a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Notable achievements include election to the Senate in 2014 as a first-time candidate, with re-elections in 2018 and 2022; elevation to Majority Leader by Republican colleagues in 2023; tax cuts, expansion of high-speed internet access, and leading the transformation of the Alabama Department of Labor into the Department of Workforce Development.
