Steve Green is a Republican member of the Minnesota Senate representing District 2, which spans communities in Becker, Beltrami, Cass, Clearwater, Hubbard, Itasca, Lake of the Woods, and Mahnomen counties. Growing up on a farm in Fosston, he operated the family business, Lakeland Greenhouse, for 23 years before working self-employed in construction and carpentry for 31 years; he and his wife Cindy have six children. Notable positions include Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Environment, Climate and Legacy. He has supported rural interests, tax relief, infrastructure investments, expanded health care options, and school safety funding.
