Biography
Stephan M. Bunker is a Democratic representative for Maine House District 75, serving the communities of Chesterville and Farmington. Elected in November 2024, he began his legislative service in the 132nd Legislature and currently sits on the Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry Committee and the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee.
A retired educator and long-time public servant from Farmington, Bunker's career spans public safety and community leadership. He worked as a municipal and county police officer, police academy cadre, EMT, corrections officer, and 9-1-1 dispatcher, while serving as a volunteer firefighter for 46 years. A military veteran, he served three years in the U.S. Army and 23 years in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves, retiring as a Lieutenant Commander. He spent 35 years on the Farmington Select Board until 2024 and holds roles in the American Legion Post 28, BPOE Elks #2430, Rotary Club of Farmington, Sportsman Alliance of Maine, Greater Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, and Farmington Historical Society.

- Political Experience: Previously a Farmington selectman for 35 years; elected to Maine House District 75 in 2024, defeating Republican Randall Gauvin.
