Biography
Steve Bashore is a Republican representative for District 7 in the Oklahoma House of Representatives, covering counties including Craig, Delaware, and Ottawa, and municipalities such as Miami, Afton, Commerce, and others. Elected in November 2020 from Miami, he serves as Deputy Floor Leader on House Speaker Charles McCall’s Leadership Team and is a member of the Energy Council. Notable achievements include selection to the GOPAC 2021 class of Emerging Leaders , the 2022 Emerging Legislative Leaders Program at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business , and committee membership on the House Committee on Legislative Office of Fiscal Transparency Oversight . Prior to politics, Bashore was a conservative business leader as general manager of Buffalo Run Casino & Resort, where he managed hundreds of employees, hosted major events generating tens of millions in economic impact, and led philanthropy efforts donating hundreds of thousands of dollars; he also revived the Oklahoma Boxing Commission as executive director and advanced professional mixed-martial arts in the state.
