Steven J. Arentz is a Republican delegate representing District 36 in the Maryland House of Delegates, covering Caroline, Cecil, Kent, and Queen Anne's Counties. Appointed on November 8, 2013, and sworn in on November 19, 2013, he has served continuously since then. Born April 17, 1951, in Hollywood, California, Arentz is married with two children. He is a former small business owner, having operated Hemingway’s Restaurant and Lola’s Sunset Grill in Stevensville, Maryland, from 1996 to 2010, and worked as a realtor for Long & Foster from 2003 onward. Notable positions include President of the Queen Anne’s County Board of County Commissioners , Chair of the Queen Anne’s County Delegation , and Chair of the Eastern Shore Delegation . He currently serves on the Economic Matters Committee, including its Economic Development, Housing and Real Property, and Workers' Compensation Subcommittees, as well as the Unemployment Insurance Subcommittee and Joint Audit and Evaluation Committee.
