Stephanie Anne Hilferty is a Republican member of the Louisiana House of Representatives representing District 94 in Orleans and Jefferson parishes. She works as a commercial real estate sales and leasing agent with SRSA Commercial Real Estate in Metairie, Louisiana, and resides in New Orleans’ Lake Vista neighborhood with her husband, Michael Lillis, and their three children. Elected in 2015 after defeating incumbent Nicholas Lorusso in the primary , she won re-election decisively in 2023 with 88% of the vote. Notable achievements include receiving the 2023 Jack Tweedie Human Services and Early Learning Champion Award from Parents as Teachers National Center for her bipartisan work supporting women and children; sponsoring her first bill to prevent shaken baby syndrome; championing legislation to ban corporal punishment in public schools ; and earning a 100% Pro-Life Voting Record in 2023 from Louisiana Right to Life. She serves on committees including Commerce , Natural Resources and Environment, House Select Committee on Women and Children, and House Select Leadership Committee, and is a member of the Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus and Louisiana Republican Legislative Delegation. She was only the fourth person in 200 years to give birth while the legislature was in session.
