Senator Stephanie Flowers ** represents **District 8 in the Arkansas State Senate, covering parts of Jefferson, Lincoln, Desha, Arkansas, Lonoke, and Pulaski Counties. Born August 8, 1953, she is the seventh of nine children of the late attorney W. Harold Flowers and educator Margaret Brown Flowers, continuing her family's legacy in law and public service. An attorney based in Pine Bluff, she has one son, William Zeri, and is a member of Mount Pleasant A.M.E. Church with Methodist affiliation. Notable achievements include serving as Assistant President Pro Tempore of the Senate , sponsoring a 2025 appropriation for a new police station at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, co-sponsoring free breakfast for public school children and increased Homestead Property Tax Credit, and efforts to end slavery in prisons and fund HBCUs.
