Biography
Stephanie Berault
Stephanie Hunter Berault is an American politician serving as a Republican member of the Louisiana House of Representatives from District 76, representing St. Tammany Parish. She has been in office since January 8, 2024, after winning her contested election in 2023 with 79.4% of the vote. She is eligible to serve through the 2032 term.
Berault is a longtime resident of Slidell, Louisiana, where she lives with her husband of 28 years, Greg Berault. They have three adult children: Reagan, Jacob, and Joshua. Prior to her legislative career, she served as the Louisiana Executive Director of the HeartGift Foundation since 2010, an organization that provides life-saving congenital heart defect surgery to children in need. She is also a former chair of the St. Tammany Republican Parish Executive Committee and has held multiple leadership roles with nonprofits in her community.
Education
Berault holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is also a graduate of Leadership St. Tammany.
Political Experience
In the Louisiana House, Berault serves as an elected member of the Appropriations Committee, as well as the Health and Welfare Committee and Retirement Committee. She also serves on several select committees, including the House Select Committee on Women and Children, the Perinatal Task Force, and the Medical Quality Oversight Committee. Additionally, she is a member of the Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus, the Louisiana Republican Legislative Delegation, and the Louisiana Rural Caucus.
