Biography
Stan Lambert , a Republican, represents Texas House District 71, which includes Taylor, Nolan, Jones, and Callahan Counties anchored by Abilene, Texas. Born on December 21, 1952, in Abilene, where he was raised, he is currently serving his fourth term, first elected in 2016 after defeating incumbent Susan King. Notable achievements include appointment as Vice-Chair of the Pensions, Investments, and Financial Services Committee at the start of the 88th Legislative Session, membership on the Business and Industry Committee, prior service on the Energy Resources and Insurance Committees, and a completed term on the Texas Sunset Advisory Commission in 2021. He advocates for fiscal conservatism, balanced budgets, low taxes, and reinvestment in education and job creation. Lambert announced he will not seek reelection after his current term. He is married to Debbie for over 43 years, with two sons, a daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren, and they attend University Church of Christ.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in business from Abilene Christian University ; graduate certification in banking from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking .
