Biography
Stan Clouse, a Republican from Kearney, Nebraska, has been serving as the state senator for Nebraska's 37th Legislative District since January 8, 2025. Prior to his election to the legislature, Clouse had a distinguished career in public service, notably serving as the mayor of Kearney from 2006 to 2024 and as a city council member since 2003. He also had a 45-year tenure with the Nebraska Public Power District, retiring as an account manager in 2024.
Throughout his career, Clouse has been actively involved in various community organizations, including Rotary International, Leadership Kearney, the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Buffalo County Economic Development Council. His contributions to the community have been recognized with several awards, such as the 2016 UNK Cope Cornerstone of Excellence and the 2022 Kearney Sertoma Service to Mankind Award.
