Margo Juarez (Senate District 5)

Biography

Margo Juarez, born and raised in South Omaha, Nebraska, has dedicated her career to public service and community engagement. After spending time in Utah, Colorado, and Oregon due to her then-husband's career, she returned to Omaha in 2014 to care for her mother. Juarez has two adult children who also reside in Omaha. She retired from federal service, having worked as an auditor for the Internal Revenue Service and as a claims processor for the Social Security Administration. In 2021, she was appointed to the Omaha Public Schools Board of Education and was elected to the position in 2022. In 2024, Juarez was elected to represent District 5 in the Nebraska Legislature, succeeding Mike McDonnell. ,
