Biography
Senator Stacy Brenner
Stacy Brenner is a Democratic state senator representing Senate District 30 in Maine, which encompasses Gorham and part of Scarborough in Cumberland County. She was elected to the Maine State Legislature in November 2020 and continues to serve in this role.
Brenner is an organic farmer and small business owner who co-founded and operates Broadturn Farm in Scarborough with her husband, John. The farm, established in 2006, produces cut flowers and organic vegetables and hosts weddings. Broadturn Farm serves as a notable example of economic development on farmland protected through an agricultural easement funded by the Land for Maine's Future program.
Prior to her farming career, Brenner worked as a nurse-midwife. In 2002, she and her husband moved to Maine to pursue farming as first-generation farmers. She currently works part-time for Maine Farmland Trust as the Senior Advisor for Land Access.

Her legislative focus areas include PFAS contamination, grid planning, outdoor education, farmland conservation and access, and offshore wind development.
