Biography
Shelly Boshart Davis is a Republican representing District 15 in the Oregon House of Representatives, covering Albany, Millersburg, Tangent, and areas north to the south Salem city border. A lifelong Linn County resident, she grew up on a family farm in the Tangent and Shedd area as the daughter of a trucker and farmer, the oldest of five siblings who worked the farm from an early age. She owns Boshart Trucking, advocates for agriculture and transportation, and lives outside Albany with her husband Geoff and three daughters. Notable achievements include 2015 America's Farm Mom of the Year by American Agri-Women, leadership as President of the U.S. Forage Export Council, and service on the Agriculture Transportation Coalition advisory committee. In the legislature over three terms, she serves as Vice Chair of the Joint Committee on Transportation, and on the House Committee on Business and Labor and Bi-State Interstate-5 Bridge Committee, focusing on common-sense policies for families, farmers, small businesses, and law enforcement.
Education and Political Experience
Education: Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Oregon State University.
Political Experience: Prior roles include Linn County Budget Committee and Precinct Committee Person; currently Oregon State Representative for District 15. Involved in advocacy with Linn County Farm Bureau, Oregon Women for Agriculture, Oregon Trucking Association, Oregon Seed Council, Oregon Aglink board, and Adopt-A-Farmer program volunteering.
