Biography
Shelley Rudnicki
Shelley J. Rudnicki was born on September 2, 1966, and is a Republican politician from Fairfield, Maine. She has built a career combining business ownership with public service. Before entering the state legislature, Rudnicki served as Chairwoman of the School Board of Lawrence High School in Fairfield and spent nine years as a member of the Benton Elementary Parent Teacher Organization. She also served 12 years on the Fairfield Planning Board.
Rudnicki founded and continues to operate her own used car dealership, Shelley's Used Cars, LLC, which she established in 2013.
Education
Rudnicki earned her high school diploma from Mt. View High School in 1984. She later completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social and Criminal Justice from Ashford University in 2013.
Political Experience
Rudnicki has served as a Maine State Representative for House District 67 since being elected in November 2018. Her district represents the communities of Benton and Fairfield in Somerset County. She is currently in her fourth consecutive term in the legislature.
As a member of the House, Rudnicki serves as the Ranking Member of the Taxation Committee, which oversees matters including state and local taxes, tax exemptions and credits, property valuation and assessment, and tax increment financing. She holds memberships in the Victor Grange, Order of Eastern Star, and Elks Club.
