Biography
Sheila Lieder is a Democratic member of the Colorado House of Representatives, representing District 28 in Jefferson County, which includes parts of Littleton, Lakewood, and Morrison. Elected in November 2022 and re-elected in 2024, she assumed office on January 9, 2023, succeeding Kerry Tipper. A lifelong champion for working families from a working-class background with military service history, Lieder has focused on accessible healthcare, public education, workers' rights, fair wages, safe working conditions, affordable care for seniors, and support for veterans and service members. Notable achievements include leading efforts to create jobs in thermal technology, expanding apprenticeship programs for in-demand careers, ensuring public schools have heating and air conditioning, addressing automation and AI impacts on sectors like trucking, and increasing protections for minor workers.
