Shawn Still is a Republican state senator representing District 48 in the Georgia State Senate, which includes portions of Fulton, Forsyth, and Gwinnett counties, since 2022. A businessman born on October 2, 1972, in Jacksonville, Florida, he owns and serves as president of Olympic Pool Plastering & Shotcrete, the largest swimming pool subcontractor in the Southeastern US, employing over 100 Georgians in Gwinnett County; he also owns Endless River Adventures, a rafting company. He moved to Georgia in 1998, has lived in Johns Creek since before its inception, and is the father of three daughters. Notable achievements include being named Freshman Legislator of the Year in 2023 by the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and Greater Georgia, sponsoring or co-sponsoring 75 of 211 Senate bills signed into law in his first session, and receiving a perfect score from the Faith and Freedom Coalition.
