Shawn R. Dygert is a Republican member of the Idaho House of Representatives, representing District 23B, which covers parts of Ada, Canyon, and Owyhee Counties. Born in Blackfoot, Idaho, and raised in the Pingree area of Eastern Idaho in a ranching family, he is a lifelong Republican committed to conservative values, economic growth, education, and community well-being. Notable achievements include serving as Owyhee County Republican Central Committee Chairman for 10 years, Owyhee County Fair Board member for 8 years, and Idaho Agriculture Teachers Association Legislative Liaison for 24 years; he was elected in 2024 after defeating Tina Lambert in the Republican primary.
