Sharon M. Carson is a Republican state senator representing District 14 in the New Hampshire Senate. She has served in the Senate since 2008, previously representing Rockingham District 3 in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2000 to 2008. Notable achievements include serving as President of the New Hampshire Senate since 2024, Majority Leader since 2023, and President Pro Tempore from 2015-2018 and 2020-2022. She is a retired Sergeant First Class from the U.S. Army Reserve , a member of Pro-Gun New Hampshire Council of Advisors, and former State Director for Women in Government.
