Biography
Shannon Jones Isadore is a Democratic member of the Oregon House of Representatives for District 33, which includes Downtown and Northwest Portland, Linnton, and Cathedral Park. A native Portlander raised in the Albina neighborhood, she is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, psychotherapist, and founder/CEO of the Oregon Change Clinic, a culturally specific facility providing substance use and mental health treatment, supportive housing, and services focused on African Americans and veterans. Notable achievements include tripling the number of Oregonians receiving addiction treatment at her clinic since 2021, converting a dilapidated motel into a 37-bed facility in Portland's Lloyd District, and previously working as an investment broker managing over 30 agents across three cities. She was appointed to the seat on September 27, 2024, following Maxine Dexter's resignation, won the Democratic primary in May 2024 with endorsement from former Governor Kate Brown, and was elected to a full term in November 2024. She serves as Vice Chair of the House Committee on Economic Development, Small Business, and Trade.
