Biography
Shane Stringer
Shane Stringer is an American politician and Republican member of the Alabama House of Representatives representing the 102nd district. He assumed office on November 7, 2018. Stringer is described as a strong Republican who stands for Christian and conservative values. He is married to Jaclyn and together they have six children. The Stringer family are members of McKenely Holiness Church.
Education and Early Career
Stringer began his career in public service as a law enforcement officer in 1991, following his graduation from Faulkner University with a degree in Criminal Justice. He served as a police chief in multiple Alabama communities, including Creola and Satsuma. He later transitioned to serve as a captain in the Mobile County Sheriff's Office.
Political Experience
Stringer was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives in 2018, representing District 102. His tenure has been marked by his advocacy for constitutional carry legislation. In May 2021, he was fired from his position in the sheriff's office in connection with his sponsorship of this constitutional carry legislation.
