Biography
Shane Reeves is a Republican state senator representing Tennessee's 14th District, which includes parts of Middle Tennessee such as Murfreesboro in Rutherford County. A seventh-generation Tennessean, conservative businessman, pharmacist, healthcare leader, and Christian family man, he lives in Murfreesboro with his wife Amanda and their three children: Will, Jack, and Emma-White. He serves as a deacon at North Blvd. Church of Christ. Reeves won his seat in a 2018 special election with 72% of the vote, succeeding former Sen. Jim Tracy.
Education and Political Experience
Reeves became a licensed pharmacist before joining and leading his family business for over 20 years. His community leadership includes roles as Chairman of the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, President of Leadership Rutherford, board member of Leadership Middle Tennessee, and Chairman of Tennessee’s National Federation of Independent Business . He has also been active with the Blue Raider Athletic Association, Alzheimer’s Association, American Heart Association, and American Cancer Society. In the Senate, he applies his private-sector experience to advocate conservative values like faith, family, and freedom.
